2023 is almost over!

It's almost like it flew by in a flash!

2023 was a mixed bag for me. There were some highs in life and there were some lows, but I pulled through! :D

First off, here's a year in review with art!

Each space has the best art I've done for that month and I can see the improvement already!

My goal for next year is to make more story driven pieces and to fill in that bingo card from the last post I made!

Now let's get into the main event! Keep in mind my memory is kinda hazy, so I may forget what happened during these months.

JANUARY

January was a fresh start! I kicked it off with a daily art challenge where I make gijinkas of the Happy Tree Friends cast! I also got a new laptop that's SO much faster because my old one was holding on for dear life trying to write a text document. ><

The series is on pause because I got burnt out, but I DO plan on re-doing the designs and finishing up the remaining characters! [Flaky, Sniffles, Pop n Cub, Nutty and The Mole] I might even make a secret project with 'em, so stay tuned! :3

FEBRUARY

February was the month I started a gig as an Event Organizer for Roblox! Event Organizers are the ones that set up workshops and fun events for the Roblox platform! That's all I can remember/really say because I'm under NDA rn. ><

I did end up hosting a workshop about the basics of hosting commissions! It was fun setting it up and sharing my knowledge to the world! :D

MARCH

March was kinda rough for me, honestly. I lost my aunt and it hit my family hard. :(

Other than that, it felt kinda stagnent art wise. This is also a month where my memory is hazy, no nothing special to report.

APRIL

April on the other hand was a much better and more eventful month!

I started a Pokemon themed askblog on Tumblr with my good buddy MegamanNick! I also got into Cookie Run: Kingdom which sucked my wallet dry tbh. ><

Again, kinda hazy.

MAY

May was the start of a dry spell for my commissions which I didn't mind. It just meant I had more time to make personal art! I also started getting therapy to start addressing what's going on emotionally! :D

Mainly focused on the askblog this month as it was taking off. Yet another hazy month.

JUNE

June is when I started playing DND with a group of friends, that was fun!

I also got experimental with my art; toying with 3D models and painting rocks! XD

It was also when I stepped down as an Event Organizer due to being too busy and lack of motivation. :(

JULY

July was when I did the yearly ArtFight tradition! I made over 150 pieces of art in the span of a month; still not sure how I can still draw with my right hand after that, lol.

I used dice to decide what to draw for people and it was so fun that I wanted to do it more often!

It was also my birthday on the 30th and the month I decided to take the plunge and leave Twitter once and for all.

AUGUST

August was another eventful month for me.

I took part in the Newgrounds Summer Games this year, which was fun! :D

Got to crank absolute 90s in Fall Guys, osu, Minecraft, Among Us and Kitty Cannon!

I also made a small animation that got popular on Tiktok!

SEPTEMBER

September was the start of many things!

I kicked off my Tiktok series Roll4Art where I let the dice decide what to draw! :D

I also started participating in collabs starting with the Skibidi Toilet Collab and it was the first time something with my work got frontpaged! Call it cringe, but I liked the entry I made! XP

OCTOBER

October was when I did the CringeTober monthly prompt challenge! It was fun drawing conventionally "cringy" things with my characters! :3

It's also when I joined BlueSky, reached 100 fans on Newgrounds and started an employment training program! :D

I also posted a large project I hope to continue in the future which was Zodiac Spirit: Timeless Cycle for the Sweet 16 Comic Contest!

NOVEMBER

November is when I took part in the South Park Collab!

Another hazy month for me since the holidays were coming up and I was focused on that.

DECEMBER

December was pretty big for me! I finally got onto VGen as an artist and that's when my commissions started to take off again!

I also worked on a lot of Secret Santa gifts for people this year which were BANGERS! :D

I also completed my employment training program which was exciting!

This month also involved a lot of music as I took part in the Newgrounds VS Boyfriend collab and made my first original song. It sounds scuffed, but I wanted to get my moneys worth for FL studio since I dropped a chunk of change just to load an FLP. ><

In short, 2023 was an eventful, albeit a little hazy year for me!

Can't wait to see what 2024 has in store! :D
