Today, I hit a big milestone! 100 fans on Newgrounds!

I'm happy with this modest little number! Starting from scratch was a difficult process, but so far, I'm growing a small following!

I am grateful for all the interactions I get. Likes, favs, follows, all of it!

Not sure what to do to celebrate this moment, but for now..

A shot in the dark

I've been on the lookout for an artist code for the platform VGen.

It's a commission platform with a primary focus on the VTuber community and it's something I've had my sights on for a while.

I want to host my commissions on there, but in order to do so, I need a code.

It's a good way to keep out bad actors, tbh.

Blue Skies over Philly

Ah, my 10th journal entry, what a surprise!

Anyways, I got lots to talk about!

First of all, I finally got an invite for BlueSky! It's like Twitter but decenteralized and you can control what you see with feeds! So far it's going great and I don't regret switching; btw if you're on there consider following! [no promo]

I imagine Bluesky like a dome biome that always shows clear skies; the people in this dome have angel wings and Twitter refugees have sky blue wings!

Ah, I'm rambling again.

Secondly, I'm doing another monthly challenge this October, but this time I'm trying something new!

I'll be doing CRINGETOBR this year!

Birthday! :D

Yep, today is my birthday!

I'm the big one-nine, number 19, mouse in baked beans. /q

Fr, I'm 19 now! I can basically do a lot more now! I can drink, go to bars, the works! [drinking age here is 19]

Didn't have time to whip up a drawing, rip. But hey, I visited my uncle for a birthday meal!

Nothing much to say from here, but I've been taking it slow ArtFight wise.

The Plunge.

Welp, I did it.

I finally ditched the hellhole that is Twitter.

Honestly, it was for the best. It was full of drama and negativity anyways. :(

Plus, with supposed plans to data scrape the site for Aye/Eye bots to learn off of, I am not taking the risk.

Edit: Added a source to back this claim.

I don't care if I have to start from square one here.

At least I can start fresh. In a place where I can post my BEST work!

It won't be easy, but hopefully I'll make new connections in a new community! :D

As I said last year, July will be the month I take part in Artfight! It's become a yearly tradition at this point!

The Purge of '23

The blue birds never fail to surprise us. Recently, a purge suspended a bunch of accounts because from what I heard, something goofed up in the code and those accounts were caught in the crossfire.

Luckily, I survived without a scratch! [for now]

Quitting Twitter for good is gonna be hard for me. I've considered it a few times, but in the end, I stayed. I'm not spending 10 dollars a month just for a blue mark, more impressions on my tweets and to avoid being bullied for being "poor".

Nothing else to write about rn, burnout and crappy moods have set me back. :(

2 years on NewGrounds, plans for many more.

Today marks my 2 year anniversary on NewGrounds! I've come a long way since I joined! With 200 pieces of art shared, NewGrounds helped me grow my artistic style. I'll be honest, I might have joined because of FNFs popularity, but I stayed for the community, the creations and the events! :D

For 2023, I want to focus on drawing my original characters more and branching out to other communities. I also wanna be more talkitive in the forums and make a few friends along the way! One more goal I have is to start making more off my commissions and further develop my artstyle!

Sorry if this journal is short, but I am thankful for everyone that helped me through this journey! Here's to 2 years and here's to many more!

Bomb Shelter

This is a follow-up from my first journal entry, so I'd read that for context.

Looks like Elon followed through with buying Twitter. People are seeing this as a double edged sword; some say that it's in better hands, while others are pissed and worried about the algorithm. I'm saying this because a blue bird told me that if you don't subscribe to their subscription service, you'll get suppressed. [SOURCE]

Twitter is where I get the most traction, so transitioning from one place to another is gonna be hard. I considered DeviantArt for a while, but their views on AI art got me second guessing. I'm also very shy and have a hard time getting the courage to comment on other posts. I don't mind starting fresh, honestly. It's good to have another place where I can post original stuff! I'll still post commissions, too!

NewGrounds will still be a safe haven for me! I'm just worried about the influx of Twitter users migrating and causing a ruckus. Not all Twitter users are bad, but there are a few sour apples that fall from the tree.

Going to war

I know, sounds scary. I'm not going to an ACTUAL war, I can't even drink yet.

BUT I am taking part in ArtFight this year! I'll be part of Team Wither and I will be drawing until my hands turn numb! I'll be less active here during July, but I might post some attacks here and there!
